The winning competitor in Toronto will have the honor of representing Canada’s culinary scene on the world stage in 2020 in Saint Petersburg, Russia at the World Chefs Congress.
As these students will need to pay all of their own expenses, they will be hosting four separate Chef’s Table dinners as fund raisers. The dinners will be hosted in the Apprenticeship Lab at the PGI School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts at 504 Main Street. There are only 12 seats available each evening. (One person need not buy all twelve seats as it will be a communal table filled with fellow food lovers.)
The five-course menu will reflect what Anthony and Argie hope to accomplish in Toronto with some added flair to complete the experience!

4. ITS Tips of the Week: Using Create View in SharePoint
|
Retrieving files in SharePoint can be as frustrating as finding them in those big metal file cabinets. Folders in SharePoint are very much like the drawers of a file cabinet: files can get buried in them, making it difficult to manage and locate your information.
You can create multiple views in your libraries and lists, however, and display the most important information in a public view or display information specific to you in a personal view. Grouping information using specific columns achieves this.
For more information, refer to the?Create View?and?Create Column?webpages.
Need IT help?
- ITS Help Resources?has many self-help categories designed to assist you solve common IT issues. ITS adds new pages every week, so visit this resource often!
- Case Log?is the website to use if you have already explored the Help Resources pages and still cannot find the answer you are looking for. You can submit a new Case Log to receive help directly from an ITS team member.

1. Sustainability Office news
|
On Friday, Laura Hnatiuk left the College to tackle new sustainability challenges at the University of Manitoba. Kale Kostick, our Resource Reduction Assistant, is going to assume the role of Sustainability Coordinator. The timing of this worked out perfectly as Kale’s term with us, funded through the United Nations, came to an end last week. (And for those of you who have worked with Kale know that we didn’t want to see her go!)
Kale will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the College’s waste, recycling, shredding, compost and myriad other waste programs we run on campus. She’s also responsible for organizing sustainability engagement and outreach events on campus and is the brainchild behind our department’s growing social media presence (here?and?here).
Kale has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies and Business & Administration from the University of Winnipeg. She enjoys traveling to far away places and is a self-professed ‘plant lady’.
Kale is located in C-519. Pop by and say “hi”.
